Exercise & Fitness

  • PDA Fitness: workout and fitness planning program. Supports multiple clients and syncs to desktop software.
  • Runners Log: written primarily for runners, walkers, and bikers; can be adapted to a wide variety of other athletic activities.
  • Workout Tracker: track all of your exercise and workout information, review past exercises, and plan new workouts.
  • Fitness Log: Runners Log: runners, walkers; Cyclist Log; Swimmers Log.
  • The Athlete's Diary: record fitness activity in up to eight sports - running, cycling, swimming, or anything else.
    • View your data on a daily or weekly basis, as well as totals and graphs of time and distance.
    • Also tracks any other numerical quantities - weight, heart rate, the time for a particular hill climb - anything!
    • Includes Windows and Macintosh conduits for synchronizing data with the desktop versions of The Athlete's Diary (sold separately).

  • ScoreBasketball: keep score and game time. Free!
  • SportsWatch: 1 sec to 100 hours, by the 1/100 second, can count with Palm off, lap realtime without limit, copy records to clipboard. Free!
  • TapPoint RallyTimer: Time multiple racers, attach notes, synchronize to official clock. Free!
  • TikTok: Time and record multiple events or subjects. Free!
  • Timing: Time and record up to 13 events or subjects, up or down in steps of one second. Free!
  • IntelliTimer: advanced stopwatch. Times, totals and tabulates splits, finishes and events for all sports and time-related activities.
    • Accurate to 1/100th of a second, tracks an unlimited number of events/races with up to 50 splits per race.

Diet & Nutrition

  • Diet & Exercise Assistant: Track your caloric intake and expenditures (exercise, yardwork, etc.).
    • Includes large modifiable food database.
    • Also set weight goals and determine daily caloric goals.
  • Food Counter: JFILE database of 696 foods.
    • Calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat

  • Eat It!: log all foods you have eaten throughout the day.

  • USDA Database: search nutrition information on your PDA or PocketPC. At least 1.5 megabytes of available memory required; transfer takes about 10 minutes. Free!

Medical & Health

  • OEI Treatment Guidelines Implementation Tool: Treat overweight and obesity according to the Clinical Guidelines on Overweight and Obesity in Adults with this free interactive program for use on Palm operating system devices.
  • STAT Cardiac Risk: estimates coronary heart disease risk using the Framingham Heart Study Prediction Scores (1998 update).
    • Enter in age, sex, total cholesterol, HDL, blood pressure, smoking, and diabetes status and see the absolute risk of angina pectoris or MI over the course of 10 years.
    • It helps clinicians to communicate the total effect of multiple risk factors for heart disease. Free!
  • BloodPressure: tracks blood pressure. Free!
    • Can be used for more than one person by using categories.
    • Requires SmartList To Go.
  • GlucoTrak: track blood sugar, insulin or other medicine, food eaten, what you were doing at which times, and glucose level. Free!
    • Transfer data to/from your PC and print reports from Windows for your doctor.
  • MD on Tap: retrieves MEDLINE® citations directly from the PDA through a wireless connection to the Internet.
